The group is currently working on three projects

CODI4In and Apps:

Context may be defined as a set of elements surrounding a domain entity of interest (e.g., user or query), which is considered relevant in a specific situation during some time interval. This work addresses the issue of personalizing query results taking into account the user context. To this end, it has been developing the CODI4In service, which provides the management of user contexts. The CODI4In may be coupled to diverse data-oriented applications.

LDTA - Linked Data Tools and Applications:

Semantic Web technologies are around now for a while. In the context of the Semantic Web, the term Linked Data refers to a set of best practices for publishing and connecting structured data on the Web. In this light, the goal of this project is to develop a set of tools to support the presentation, sharing and association of data sets in the form of Linked Data. Particularly, currently, it is working on two issues: (i) developing a tool to transform data in linked datasets, and (ii) developing an application to consume linked datasets.

GeoDatA - Geographic Data Access:

In a PDMS setting, this project provides access to geographic databases by means of ontologies. To this end, it has developed a tool, named easeGO, which provides access to a geographic database using an ontology as a middle layer between the user interface and the data. It also allows users to formulate queries using visual elements and spatial operators.
